The Mindfulness Retreat provides a valuable opportunity to experience some of the practices that are offered in the 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program offered by the GW Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM).  Some of the benefits of mindfulness include helping to relieve stress, lowering blood pressure, reducing chronic pain, improving sleep, and increasing well-being.

The guided mindful meditations will be provided by Nina Paul and Cynthia Powell, Qualified MBSR Teachers, and a couple of the practices will include gentle yoga movements.  There will be an open discussion prior to the close of the event, and participants will have an opportunity to share information about their retreat experience.  This event is co-sponsored by CIM and the GW Resiliency & Well-being Center.

Where: GW Resiliency and Well-being Center, Watergate Office Building, 2600 Virginia Ave. NW, Suite 300. (If there is inclement weather, the retreat will be held online.)
